Perched on the roof of the Conservatory, this art-deco café serves a brasserie-style cuisine, with generous helpings. In the afternoon, the lunch menu gives way to a selection of sharing dishes, salads, burgers and some sweet treats.
That littel extra from the food insider "Jennifer Segui": when the weather is fair, the rooftop terrace is the dream location to make time stand still, as you’re lulled by the scales escaping from the Conservatory.
Favourite dish: the chicken liver salad

Lausanne's iconic cathedral has towered over the city for more than eight centuries. A masterpiece of Gothic art, it captivates visitors with the harmony of its architecture, the richness of its sculpted details and the serenity it inspires. From its tower, an exceptional panorama opens up over the roofs of the Cité, Lake Geneva and the Alps.

Due to the renovation of the vaults in the south transept, the rose and its stained glass windows will be inaccessible until spring 2027.

I love the feeling of being in the middle of town but with views of the Alps and the lake. Its location by the music conservatory of Lausanne and just up the road from the Opéra of Lausanne makes it a great stopover before enjoying some music.
