Chez Mario

Where?
Chez Mario

Opened in 1958, Switzerland’s first pizzeria is an institution in Lausanne. Its walls are covered in graffiti left by regular or occasional customers… And why not by you during your next visit!
That little extra from the food insider "The Lausanne Guide": if you don’t feel like a pizza, choose the lasagna or a calzone, both excellent. And don’t forget the Italian cocktails!
Favourite dish: the classic margherita

Lausanne Cathedral

HeritageArchitectureHistory

Lausanne's iconic cathedral has towered over the city for more than eight centuries. A masterpiece of Gothic art, it captivates visitors with the harmony of its architecture, the richness of its sculpted details and the serenity it inspires. From its tower, an exceptional panorama opens up over the roofs of the Cité, Lake Geneva and the Alps.

Due to the renovation of the vaults in the south transept, the rose and its stained glass windows will be inaccessible until spring 2027.
