Lausanne Cathedral

HeritageArchitectureHistory

Lausanne's iconic cathedral has towered over the city for more than eight centuries. A masterpiece of Gothic art, it captivates visitors with the harmony of its architecture, the richness of its sculpted details and the serenity it inspires. From its tower, an exceptional panorama opens up over the roofs of the Cité, Lake Geneva and the Alps.

Due to the renovation of the vaults in the south transept, the rose and its stained glass windows will be inaccessible until spring 2027.

To go back to the origins of Jacot Haute Chocolaterie is to love the winding paths that lead to Noiraigue, facing the Creux-du-Van, a place of legends. Marcel Jacot, a baker and confectioner, created the family business there in 1949. Francis, his son, later developed the art of chocolate making.

As from the 1970s, Jacot Haute Chocolaterie formed a bond with watchmaking companies, that became his best customers, a loyalty that still holds true today. The personalisation of chocolates became the hallmark of the artisan from Val-de-Travers.

Grand crus, rare cacaos, local spirits, the range of Jacot Haute Chocolaterie is made without palm oil and the products are prepared, personalised and packed by hand.
