Lausanne's iconic cathedral has towered over the city for more than eight centuries. A masterpiece of Gothic art, it captivates visitors with the harmony of its architecture, the richness of its sculpted details and the serenity it inspires. From its tower, an exceptional panorama opens up over the roofs of the Cité, Lake Geneva and the Alps.

Due to the renovation of the vaults in the south transept, the rose and its stained glass windows will be inaccessible until spring 2027.

Maison Buet offers a large variety of delicious homemade bakery, patisserie and chocolate products in its café and boutique at Rue Grand-St-Jean 6 – a real meeting place for Lausanners on market days – and its shop at Rue Haldimand 11.
Caracs (small sweet tarts with a chocolate ganache and a green topping), mille-feuilles, tarts, éclairs, rum babas… The classics are and always will be part of Maison Buet, but sometimes, a pinch of eccentricity enriches the pastries to fulfil the most demanding foodies. From chocolate bars to pralines, a large selection of chocolate products will also surprise your taste buds. Maison Buet offers more than 25 naturally leavened loaves of bread every day and also has a catering service at your disposal.
